It is with the greatest pleasure and delight that Master “K” reports that the May 2015 issue of GQ Italy magazine has just hit the stands and features the Kinbaku he did for a layout entitled “The Bonds of Love” which was created for Prada (among other European high fashion houses) by the great photographer Michel Comte.
For those that might not know him, Michel Comte is one of the world’s most famous and honored fashion photographers who for over 30 years has worked with all the major fashion houses such as Vogue, Armani, Versace, Revlon, Chanel as well as high-end automobile firms like Mercedes Benz, BMW and Jaguar creating unforgettable images for their advertising.
In so doing he has photographed most of the most famous and beautiful women in the world including: Catherine Deneuve, Sophia Loren, Penelope Cruz, etc., etc., etc. In addition, he has just completed a film, “The Girl from Nagasaki” which was shown at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.
Master “K” reports that the shoot was absolutely thrilling to do and led to an even more ambitious shoot involving Japanese rope for Interview (Germany) Magazine with this incredible photographic artist.
He will be writing a complete report on both shoots as the Summer “Kinbaku and Art” posts for his publisher’s site www.thebeautyofkinbaku.com soon. If you’re interested please look for them. In the meantime, here are four pictures from the GQ spread.
