The Next Big Thing

Last Week my fellow Siren Author and dear friend, Sage Marlowe, tagged me, now it’s my turn to answer the questions .

The Next Big Thing

1.What is the title of your book?

Master Rafael’s Dilemma. It’s the next in the Prometheus in Chains Series.
2. How did you come by the idea?

Rafael is mentioned in a couple of other books He’s a Spanish Gypsy, from Seville in Andalucía, Spain. Once I decided to write about him the story developed with a little help from a friend. More later.
3. What genre does your book fall under?

Contemporary BDSM. It’s also an MMF ménage, the first one I have written, but I hope it won’t be my last.

4. Which actors would you choose to play your characters if it were a movie?

I don’t ever really do this. My characters are in my head and  not based on anyone in particular apart from Master Angus in book one, who owes a lot to Sean Connery. If I had to do it then for Rafael, Antonio Banderas , Rose,  Zooey Deschanel  as for Olafur, Alex Pettyfer
5. What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

Rafael is bi-sexual, can he convince the two people he loves to form the triad he needs?
6. Will your book be self-published or traditional?

Traditional. All my books are with Siren, so far.
7. How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

Two to three weeks, it’s not quite finished yet

.
8. What other books would you compare this story to within your genre?

It could be compared to any MMF ménage. What makes it different is the characters involved and my setting, in Sheffield in the north of England.

9. Who or What inspired you to write this book?

I was chatting with Sage Marlowe and we were planning a collaboration. It didn’t come off but the ideas we discussed developed into this book.
10. What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

The exploration of Rose’s character. She has seen many rejections and finds it difficult to believe she has what it takes to attract and keep Rafael’s interest. It’s up to him to convince her she can. Rose and Olafur have a connection that isn’t sexual at all. He’s gay and not interested in her that way at all. Intimacy doesn’t have to be physical and for Rose and Olafur it isn’t, it’s a deep connection, a love that binds them together.
